HUD is extending the deadline for written feedback on proposed changes to Chapter 9 of the Section 8 Renewal Policy Guidebook until midnight Eastern Time on June 6, 2022. 

 A revised draft of Chapter 9 of the Section 8 Policy Guidebook, Rent Comparability Studies, was posted to the Multifamily Policy Drafting Table on April 21, 2022. HUD appreciates feedback on this document as they work to ensure that HAP contract rents accurately reflect market rental values. In order to ensure stakeholders have an opportunity to express feedback regarding this draft guidance, HUD has scheduled a live listening session for Friday, May 20, 2022 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM EDT. Any party who would like to share thoughts on this chapter is encouraged to attend. Three-minute speaking slots will be available, with a limit of one speaking slot per participating organization.
