TRACS Experiencing Delays in Processing Vouchers

The following notification was posted on Friday, January 23, 2015:

ISSUE:

The Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System (TRACS) is experiencing problems processing the large volume of voucher requests. There is a total number of lines setting when processing voucher requests, in order to ensure subsequent systems, including TRACS, can handle the volume of transactions.

 

This setting has been in effect since the inception of TRACS and has worked without incident. TRACS Voucher requests have significantly increased. This increase, coupled with the current system setting, is causing significant delays in processing vouchers.

 

SOLUTION & NEXT STEPS

The TRACS Team is preparing an emergency system change to increase this setting

for number of lines for processing voucher requests. However, until the setting for

number of lines is increased for processing voucher request for payment, please do

not retransmit as a default when not seeing your voucher on the TRACS Voucher

Query. The system is set-up to remove duplicates, and will replace a subsequent

submission with a newly submitted version, thereby causing even more of a delay. The logic of FIRST IN - FIRST OUT still applies, so vouchers will ultimately get processed providing they do not get resubmitted.

 

The TRACS Team will inform users once the system change has been implemented.
